It's been 1.5 months since we got our Japanese Spitz puppy and she has been an absolute joy. Much thanks to Yvonne for answering all our questions and being so helpful in sharing information on caring for our little pup. She had a clean bill of health and came home healthy, energetic and quite well adjusted. After purchasing this little one, we still keep in touch with Yvonne and are grateful for the after sales support indeed. :)Posted on Google![]()

Amazing experience with Pretty Pets Kennel!! Special shoutout to Branden who took the effort and patience to explain to us about the cavapoo. Really love at first sight. Initially wanted to have a second thought but with the professional explanation. It left us with only 1 choice. Guess what? We got a new family member now…☺️🎊🎉Posted on Google![]()

I got my family’s dream dog, a Papillion-Japanese spitz mix at Pretty Pet’s Kennel! I’m very grateful to Yvonne who introduced me to the designer mix dog. According to Google, it has better tolerance with Singapore’s humid heat vs Pomsky (or pure Japanese spitz). Pretty Pets Kennel designer mixes can be rare and have high visibility, so it’s important to secure them quickly if you really desire them. I’m lucky Yvonne kept me up to date on the sale this litter. ❤️ After I brought him back, Yvonne checked in daily for about 3 days to make sure the puppy was settling well and I was doing all the right things. I’m lucky that he is about 50% toilet trained from the moment I brought him in. Perhaps it’s also part of Pretty Pets structure that he is partly toilet trained. They also ethically check on some viruses before they release the pup.Posted on Google![]()

We’ve had such a lovely experience with them, from the very first time we met Yvonne to even after Pebbles came home. We actually chanced upon this place quite randomly and very much on a whim. Our boy had very recently left us, and at the time we were simply looking around — not even specifically for another puppy. Yvonne was extremely warm and took the time to get to know us. When she found out that we had previously had a Japanese Spitz, she asked if we would like to have a look at the puppies. I don’t think we need to say much more after that. ❤️ Our puppy girl came home with us the following week. What really impressed us was seeing how well the furkids/babies were cared for. We know that, unfortunately, the conditions in these situations are not always ideal, so it was reassuring to see the care and attention given to the puppies. We were even able to interact with our puppy’s birth parents, which was something really special for us. The aftercare has been just as lovely. Yvonne continues to check in with us and follows up to make sure everything is alright, and she has always been there when we have questions or concerns. We really appreciate that the care didn’t simply stop once our puppy went home. There is probably never a “right” time to welcome another furkid after losing one. We certainly weren’t looking to replace our boy, and we know our hearts weren’t really prepared for another puppy so soon. But we are incredibly grateful for that one simple question that led us to meet our little puppy girl. Thank you, Yvonne, for bringing our little puppy girl into our lives. ❤️🐾Posted on Google![]()

Jared has been extremely helpful and caring from the very beginning when we welcomed our Pomeranian, Kai, into our family. Although I have had dogs before, having a puppy is a new experience for our children, and there were many things for us to learn and adjust to together. Jared really went above and beyond. He even created a group chat to keep in touch with us, follow up on Kai’s daily progress, and make sure we were doing well and taking good care of him. Whenever we had questions or were unsure about something, he was always patient, responsive and ready to guide us. What we appreciate most is that his care didn’t stop after we brought Kai home. You can really feel that he genuinely cares about the puppies and wants them to settle happily into their new families. Thank you, Jared, for all your help, patience and care. You made welcoming Kai into our family such a smooth and reassuring experience. 🩵🐶 Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. The Pugapoo, a charming hybrid breed, is believed to have originated in the late 20th century as a result of breeding between the Pug and the Poodle. This deliberate crossbreeding was initiated to combine the endearing traits of both parent breeds, such as the Pug’s affectionate nature and the Poodle’s intelligence and hypoallergenic coat.
The goal was to create a dog that not only possesses the playful and loving personality of the Pug but also offers the low-shedding coat of the Poodle, making them suitable for families with allergies.
As interest in designer dog breeds grew, the Pugapoo quickly captured the hearts of dog lovers around the world. Its unique appearance and delightful temperament contributed to its rising popularity, leading to the establishment of breed standards among breeders. While the Pugapoo does not yet have full recognition from major kennel clubs, it has carved out a niche among hybrid enthusiasts.
Today, Pugapoos are cherished as affectionate family companions and adaptable pets, reflecting the best qualities of both the Pug and the Poodle in an endearing package.

Pugapoos are renowned for their friendly and affectionate personalities, making them a delightful addition to any family. They are social dogs that thrive on companionship and enjoy being around people, which often leads to a strong bond with their owners. With their eager-to-please nature, Pugapoos are generally easy to train, responding well to positive reinforcement methods. Their playful demeanor brings joy and energy to the household, making them great companions for children and other pets.
In addition to their playful side, Pugapoos are also known for their adaptability. They can easily adjust to different living environments, whether it’s a bustling apartment in the city or a spacious home in the suburbs. Despite their small size, they possess a confident demeanor and are often quite curious about their surroundings.
Their intelligence and sociable temperament enable them to engage in a variety of activities, including fetch, agility training, and even tricks. Overall, Pugapoos combine the endearing qualities of both the Pug and Poodle, resulting in a loyal and loving companion that brightens the lives of those around them.
Pugapoos are small to medium-sized dogs, typically weighing between 10 to 20 pounds and standing around 10 to 15 inches tall at the shoulder. Their size can vary depending on the specific traits inherited from their Pug and Poodle parentage, which allows for a charming mix of features. Pugapoos have a sturdy, compact build that exudes an air of confidence and playfulness.
In terms of physical features, Pugapoos often inherit the expressive, round eyes and wrinkled face of the Pug, paired with the curly or wavy coat of the Poodle. Their coat can come in a variety of colors, including fawn, black, apricot, and a mix of shades, giving them a unique appearance.
Their low-shedding coat is usually hypoallergenic, making them suitable for allergy sufferers and requiring less cleaning. Pugapoos have sturdy legs and a wagging tail that reflects their cheerful disposition. Overall, their adorable looks and playful demeanor make Pugapoos a delightful choice for dog lovers seeking a charming companion.

Grooming and basic care are essential components of maintaining a healthy and happy Pugapoo. Due to their Poodle heritage, Pugapoos often have a curly or wavy coat that requires regular grooming to prevent matting and tangling. Ideally, owners should brush their Pugapoo at least once a week, with more frequent grooming needed during shedding seasons to keep their coat looking its best.
Professional grooming is recommended every 6 to 8 weeks to maintain the coat’s length and condition, ensuring it remains clean and tangle-free.
Basic care for Pugapoos includes regular veterinary check-ups, vaccinations, and health screenings to monitor for any common health issues, such as breathing difficulties or eye problems. A balanced diet tailored to their age, size, and activity level is crucial for their overall health and well-being.
Pugapoos require daily exercise, including walks and playtime, to stay fit and mentally stimulated. Additionally, dental care is important; regular teeth brushing and dental chews can help maintain their oral health. By providing consistent grooming and basic care, Pugapoo owners can ensure a long, happy, and healthy life for their beloved companions.
Like all breeds, Pugapoo puppies can be prone to specific health issues, stemming from their Pug and Poodle parentage. One of the most common concerns is brachycephalic airway syndrome, which affects Pugs due to their short muzzles. This condition can lead to breathing difficulties, especially in hot or humid weather, making it vital for owners to monitor their puppies and ensure they don’t overexert themselves.
Another health issue that Pugapoos might face is hip dysplasia, a genetic condition affecting the hip joints that can result in arthritis and pain as the dog ages. Regular veterinary check-ups, a balanced diet, and maintaining a healthy weight can help manage this risk. Pugapoos may also be prone to certain eye problems, such as cataracts or progressive retinal atrophy, which can affect their vision.
Due to their mixed breed heritage, Pugapoos can inherit health issues from either parent breed, making it essential for owners to stay informed about these potential concerns. Regular veterinary visits, a nutritious diet, and proactive care can help ensure Pugapoo puppies lead healthy and happy lives.
By choosing a reputable breeder who conducts health screenings on both parent breeds, prospective owners can reduce the likelihood of genetic health issues in their Pugapoo puppies.
Training a Pugapoo in Singapore can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, as these dogs are known for their intelligence and eagerness to please. To get started, focus on basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, and come. Use positive reinforcement techniques, like treats and praise, to motivate your Pugapoo and reinforce good behaviour.
Given their friendly and social nature, consider enrolling your Pugapoo in a puppy training class, which provides valuable socialisation opportunities with other dogs and people.
In Singapore’s urban environment, it’s important to gradually expose your Pugapoo to various distractions, such as busy streets, public transport, and different sounds. Consistency is key; establish a routine for training sessions that are short and engaging to maintain their focus. Incorporating playtime and regular exercise into their daily routine will help burn off excess energy, making training sessions more effective.
Finally, be patient and understanding, as every dog learns at their own pace. Celebrate small successes and remain committed to creating a strong bond with your Pugapoo. With dedication and the right approach, you can raise a well-mannered and happy Pugapoo that thrives in the vibrant atmosphere of Singapore.
Proper nutrition is vital for maintaining the health and well-being of Pugapoos throughout their life stages. Start by providing high-quality dog food formulated for small to medium breeds, ensuring it meets the nutritional standards set by recognized organizations such as AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials).
Look for a diet rich in protein, healthy fats, and essential vitamins and minerals to support their growth, energy, and overall health.
It’s important to monitor portion sizes based on your Pugapoo’s age, size, and activity level to prevent overeating and obesity, which they may be prone to due to their Pug heritage.
Incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables can enhance their diet with additional nutrients; suitable options include carrots, green beans, and apples (without seeds). However, avoid toxic foods such as grapes, chocolate, and onions.
Consider dividing their daily food intake into two to three meals to help maintain stable energy levels throughout the day. Always provide access to fresh water, and consult your veterinarian for personalised dietary advice tailored to your Pugapoo’s specific health needs.
By following these nutrition tips, you can help ensure your Pugapoo remains healthy, energetic, and happy.

If you’re ready to bring a Pugapoo into your home, you’re in for an exciting and heartwarming journey filled with love and companionship! These charming hybrids offer the best qualities of both the Pug and the Poodle, making them affectionate, intelligent, and adaptable pets.
Before you start your search, consider what it takes to properly care for a Pugapoo, including grooming, training, and exercise needs.
